Title: Program Coordinator

Location: 600 E. Willow Street, Suite 201, Normal IL 61761

Reports to: Executive Director

Hours:16 hours per week         $20 per hour

Job Summary

The Program Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and supporting the Faith in Action Grocery Shopping and Friendly Visits programs, ensuring that older adults and individuals in need receive reliable volunteer assistance and social support. The Program Coordinator also assists with the planning, implementation, and administration of other Faith in Action programs and initiatives as organizational needs arise. Working collaboratively with staff, volunteers, community partners, and participants, this role helps advance the organization’s mission of promoting independence, connection, and quality of life for those served.

Responsibilities

Program Management

  • Coordinate all aspects of the Grocery Shopping and Friendly Visits programs.
  • Assist with the coordination and implementation of additional programs and services as organizational needs arise.
  • Respond to client service requests.
  • Match clients with appropriate volunteers based on needs, availability, and location.
  • Develop and maintain service schedules and volunteer assignments.
  • Monitor program effectiveness and ensure services are delivered consistently and safely.
  • Maintain accurate client, volunteer, and service records.
  • Track program participation and prepare reports as needed.
  • Maintain program databases
  • Collect and track program service data

Qualifications

Required

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.
  • Ability to learn and use software programs.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Preferred

  • Experience working with older adults.
  • Experience coordinating volunteers.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus.
