Celebrate this festive evening with family and friends. February 13 is FIA's HEART OF FAITH GALA. Like last year there will be a wonderful silent auction with many great items to bid on. Read more about the GALA in the newsletter (page 7) or give the office a call for more information.
What is Faith in Action? Volunteers Volunteers take seniors to medical appointments, religious services, shopping, and other necessary errands and appointments. They also make friendly home visits, telephone reassurance calls, and perform light home and yard maintenance. Care Receivers Seniors 60 years and older contact the Faith in Action (FIA) office to see if they are eligible to receive services. To be eligible they must 1) reside in Bloomington-Normal and 2) be 60 years or older and not living in a nursing home or long term care facility. A home visit is required to determine their needs and how to best meet them. Once eligible, care receivers call or use this website to ask for assistance.

Our 2009 Annual Appeal "Put Your
Faith into Action" campaign was a great blessing to us again this
year. Thanks to everyone who made a financial gift to our ministry helping
us to raise $8797.00 as of December 31, 2009. We are very grateful as
this allows us to continue serving needs of the seniors in
Bloomington-Normal. Keep us and our seniors in your prayers. |
