Shopping Transportation Volunteer

Shopping Transportation

We need you to help seniors with their grocery shopping. Can you help?

Shopping transportation is FIA’s second most-requested need and many special relationships and friendships have stemmed from this program.

Here is what you need to know to volunteer:

FIA’s shopping coordinator will match you to a Care Receiver.

The Volunteer and Care Receiver schedule the day of the week and time of the “monthly or bi-weekly” grocery transportation.

When transporting Care Receivers please note that they are independent and need minimal assistance to your car. Those using a walker must be able to enter and exit the vehicle on their own.

You must be at least 21 years old and have a valid driver’s license.

You must provide proof of insurance on a vehicle in proper working condition.

A photocopy of your current driver’s license and insurance card will be kept on file at the office and updated annually.

Click here to submit our Volunteer Interest Form and indicate “Shopping Transportation”. Thank you for volunteering to assist seniors in their grocery needs.

We appreciate you!
