Volunteer Appreciation Blessing – April 28, 2022
Faith in Action recognized their volunteers at Grace Church, Normal. The evening consisted of a welcome room with appetizers and a candle lighting ceremony recognizing the volunteers in the various ministries at FIA. Local clergy held a blessing ceremony to bless the hands of volunteers. Westminster Village prepared the dinner. Doretta recognized 15, 10 and 5 year volunteers as well as several volunteers that lead various volunteer services. The evening also included a retirement send off for Doretta Herr who served as FIA’s Executive Director for 8 years and concluded with a welcome to Pamela Sweetwood, new FIA Executive Director as of May 2nd.
