Doretta Herr is FIA Executive Director

Doretta Herr is our new Executive Director of Faith in Action.

Doretta previously oversaw Faith in Action of Champaign County, which included organizing 100 volunteers and providing 150 rides for over 300 seniors per month. While overseeing this program, she led a community needs assessment and succeeded in applying for and receiving grants.

She and her husband Tom have been residents of Bloomington-Normal for 30 years. They have 5 children and 5 grandchildren. Doretta’s community involvement includes: Board Ecology Action Center; Catholic Charity CAB; Catholic Heart Workcamp Youth Group, Salvation Army, St. Vincent de Paul and Midwest Food Bank. She also has been a supporter of Faith in Action of Bloomington-Normal and recently completed our volunteer orientation.

The list of her accomplishments and volunteer involvement speak volumes of Doretta’s servant heart. Please help us welcome Doretta!
