Help Faith in Action in Collecting and Distributing Face Masks

Faith in Action is collecting and distributing Face Masks

Governor Pritzker announced that starting Friday, May 1, 2020 it will be mandatory for all Illinois residents over the age of 2 to wear a mask in public places when 6 feet of distancing cannot take place.  Many of our Care Receivers do not have access to face masks. As part of the mission of Faith in Action, we hope to send each FIA Care Receiver and Volunteer a face mask (PPE) to wear when out in public. Please help us in this new endeavor.
Here is how you can help:
1. Sew masks.  There are many patterns available on the internet.  Click here for a sample pattern.
3. Donate money to cover the cost of materials and postage.
2. Call the FIA Office if you have masks to donate.  We will give you instructions to drop them off.  Office hours are Mon – Thurs 9 – 4 and Fridays 9 – 12:30. Office phone is 309-827-7780. We will accept commercial surgical masks. These can be purchased from online suppliers such as Amazon.
