Take our Skills and Interest Survey

Are you interested in helping behind the scenes at Faith In Action? We have a new Skills and Interest Survey that lists opportunities such as serving on committees. In addition to the areas listed, we have opportunities for helping maintain our www.bnfia.org website as well as helping with our newsletter.

Download this survey to let us know how you might want to help Faith in Action. Click on the link to open the survey in your browser. You can then print the survey or go to File menu and ‘save as’ to save the survey on your computer.
Please pass this survey information along to anyone who might be interested in these opportunities for service.

There are many behind-the-scenes committees that help Faith in Action continue to grow and stay financially able to serve. Many of these committees ask just a few hours for a short period of the year– your time can make a great difference in the future of FIA.
Please prayerfully review these opportunities and think not only of yourself but also of those you know in your congregation, family and friends who might be willing to serve in one of these capacities:

Volunteer Committee: plans an educational event for volunteers (typically in late summer), the spring volunteer appreciation and blessing service, and the holiday open house in November or December. Many hands have made light work for this committee, but some have moved on and made room for new members and new ideas.

Gala Committees: The Gala is a vital fund-raiser held in February, and providing 25% or more of the income for FIA. All of this comes together with the help of many people working together on a portion of the planning and preparation. Committees begin meeting about six months in advance and include but are not limited to:
• Program: Work on the program and entertainment for the evening
• Decorations: If you like crafts this is a great way to serve
• Silent & Live Auction: Solicit and collect items to be auctioned off
• Sponsors: Solicit potential ad sponsors for the program booklet
• Registration: Maintain a database to track names and addresses for invitations and responses
• Marketing: Get the word out
• Design: Design the cover of the program booklet, invitation and the Save the Date Cards

Board of Directors: Responsible for fundraising, as well as oversight of the finances, programs, and strategic plans for the future of Faith in Action. If you care deeply about FIA and would like to have input in our future, we encourage you to consider inquiring about whether a board position is right for you or perhaps to serve on one of the subcommittees.
